Das Wetter blieb den ganzen Tag meiner Ankunft in Llangollen fortdauernd unfreundlich. Dies nöthigte mich, meine Streifereien auf das Städtchen selbst zu beschränken. Llangollen liegt am Flusse Dee in einem schönen Thale, das von dem Städtchen den Namen führt. Es ist eine kleine, schmutzige Stadt. Die Häuser sind niedrig und schlecht gebaut, die Straßen eng und elend gepflastert. (Göde 316)
