The original travelogues which appear in this collection (click here for PDF download) were commissioned by ‘European Travellers to Wales 1750-2010’ following the authors’ appearance at the Multilingual Festival of International Voices in Swansea in 2017. The festival was funded by the OWRI (Open World Research Initiative) project ‘Cross-Language Dynamics’ and organised in association with Wales PEN Cymru. We would like to thank the AHRC and OWRI-CLD for their generous support.
