Es war noch in den letzten Tagen des September, daß ich mehrmals mit dem Sohne der Hausherrin, dem jetzigen General Schwabe, in frischer Morgenstunde vor dem Frühstück in die Menai-Meerenge hinausschwamm, worüber sich Max Müller baß entsetzte. Zu derlei Stücken im Herbst und in so hochnördlicher Gegend war er nicht geneigt; auch nicht zu längeren Fußwanderungen. (Blind 2)
